  • When is the Gala?

    • Traditional every homecoming Friday


  • Where is it held?

  • How much do tickets cost?

    • The event is sold primarily through sponsored tables. Tables range from $20,000 to $2,000.00 and seat 10 people per table. Individual tickets to the event cost $100.00 per person.

  • What is included in the cost of the ticket?

    • Each ticket allows you access to the event, buffet-style meal, non-alcoholic beverages, awards presentation, and the 3-act concert performance.

  • What will be served?

    • The event meal will be posted two weeks prior to the event. ​ No outside food/beverage will be allowed in the building.

  • Are there any food considerations for Vegetarians/Vegans? 

    • Yes. But you have to indicate your preference, prior to October 1, by e-mailing the event staff at

  • Can my family and guest sit together? 

    • In order to sit together, you must purchase a table. 

  • How does seating work​? Atrium Layout

    • Seating is assigned according to your "Degree" of SUpport! Ex: Closest to the stage are the $20,000. sponsors, then $15,000 sponsors, etc...  

      • We also take into account the order in which your support was received and the number of years a sponsors has supported the event. 

    • Please keep in mind that the event space is more deep than wide, therefore, to accommodate all guests, we have strategically placed big screens throughout the event, to maximize viewing experience.

  • I purchased my tickets online. When can I expect to receive them?

    • Tickets ordered online by October 1, will be mailed if requested, otherwise they will be at will call.

    • Tickets will be available for pickup, every Friday, starting Sept 5, 2019 at Agnes Andrews Allstate Insurance Agency.  

    • No tickets will be mailed after October 10,

  • Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?

    • Yes, a portion of your ticket purchase is tax-deductible. An acknowledgement letter will be mailed to your home listing the fair market value of your purchase. Please retain this letter for your records.

  • Do you sell tickets at the door?

    • No. Tables and tickets must be purchased no later than two weeks prior to the event date.

  • What is the schedule for the Gala Dinner?

  • Where do I park?

    • Complimentary parking is available for our Gala Dinner guests on the 6th and 7th floor of the parking garage, located directly behind the atrium. Guests must show their gala tickets, to the parking garage attendant, otherwise a parking fee may be required.

  • How do I check in?

    • Guest guests arrive the registration tables, present ticket, and are escorted by a greeter. 

  • What should I wear to the Gala?

    • The attire for the event is Semi-Formal, however,  feel free to come extra fancy in formal attire!

  • How can I purchase a sponsored table or tickets?

    • ONLINE- is the preferred method! You can pay online with credit/debit cards and electronic checks. click here to pay online via the Southern University System Foundation!

    • PHYSICALLY- at the College of Business (Southern University) or Agnes Andrews Allstate Insurance Agency.  See location address on the contact page.

  • I ordered multiple tickets for our company/group/organization. Can I arrange to leave individual tickets for guests at Will Call?

    • Yes- only if you provide the event staff with the names of individuals at least two weeks prior to the event date.

    • Failure to provide a list, by the stated deadline, will require you to wait, outside the event floor,  for your guest. 

  • I bought a ticket for my friends, and they can’t come. Can I get my money back?

    • Unfortunately, tickets are not refundable.

  • What happens if I lose my ticket? 

    • All tickets are tracked. In the event you lose your ticket, you will have to provide your receipt and your government issued ID,  in order to obtain entrance to the gala.

  • How does the Split The Pot Raffle work?

    • People are always happy with a chance to win a cash prize and WE WANT YOU TO WIN!
